KoraLyte Bodies
exclusively sold at CWG
In my early days as a guitar builder, I spend a lot of time chasing down the latest trends, LED's, Graphic Paint jobs, Inlay, etc... And All those things I do still enjoy incorporating into my guitars but over the past few years I've gotten very serious about mastering the basics.
Fret work, Truss rods, Striving for better intonation, and most of all Tone Woods are the things that fuel my fire.
Upon widening my experience with different woods I found several wood combo's that produced great results. But I was still looking for something truly new and awesome for certain guitar styles. So what did I do?... Invented something completely new of course. I call it KoraLyte!
What is it? - KoraLyte is a tone material used primarily for guitar and bass bodies
How does it sound? - KoraLyte is loud and neutral with lots of sustain. This is great because instead of using pickups to enhance what a guitar might lack, you can use them to bring out the best of what your ears like.
How much does it weigh? - A little more then Alder and a little less then Maple. I would estimate a Strat body at about 5 to 7 pounds.
Can it be painted? - Absolutely yes. It is also stainable but has no grain pattern.
What other features does it have? - It cuts and drills exactly like wood. It is porous like wood but the material is more resistant to moisture absorption. Its is more durable then wood.
What is the price? - As a body only order, KoraLyte is +$150 option.
I am currently working on some video and audio clips to demonstrate the tonal characteristics.
